Greyhound adoption in Gainsborough and other areas.
Greyhounds in our Gainsborough kennel needing loving homes
Are you thinking of adopting a greyhound? Contact Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust. We rehome dogs who are in need of a loving home. It is important to understand that greyhounds may change enormously when they move from the kennel into their new home. Some of the dogs in our kennel can live with cats after careful training. A brief description of each dog in our kennel is given below.
Gainsborough kennel 1A is currently occupied by Delboy.
He is a black male born on 21 May 2015 who came to us on 31 December 2018.
Delboy is a cheeky boy with a real character although he can be quite unsure of a lot of things out in the big wide world and would need a home where someone has time, patience and understanding to get him used to a new environment.
Delboy also needs to improve his socialisation with other breeds.
Kennel 1A is sponsored by Janet Short in memory of Sparky.
It is also sponsored by Mary Elliott in memory of Bryn.
Gainsborough kennel 1B is currently occupied by Jill.
She is a black female born on 23 August 2014 who came to us on 18 May 2019.
Despite her name (the kennel manager is also called Jill) Jill is a very nice, friendly girl who has settled in well in her short time with us.
Jill is reserved to go to a new home in the near future.
Kennel 1B is sponsored by Carole Wall, Spud and Jack.
It is also sponsored in memory of Jamie, Ellie and Izzy.
Gainsborough kennel 2A is currently occupied by Bucko.
He is a black male born on 25 August 2015 who came to us on 30 March 2019 along with his sister Flo Jo.
Bucko is a lovely nice, easy going lad who would fit into most homes. With training Bucko could live happily with a cat.
Kennel 2A is sponsored by Susan Burgess.
It is also sponsored in memory of Linda Bunnage.
Gainsborough kennel 2B is currently occupied by Mini.
Mini is a black female born on 16 July 2014 who came to us on 29 January 2019.
She may be mini by name, but she has a massive character and always wants to be involved in anything that is going on.
Kennel 2B is sponsored in loving memory of Connar Kiedyk. It is also currently sponsored by Barbara and Roy Adrian in memory of Joe.
Kennel 3A is currently occupied by Johnny.
He was born on 9 August 2015 and came to us on 3 May 2019.
Johnny is full of excitement and energy, but it doesn’t last long.
He is an extremely friendly boy who loves everyone and everything.
Johnny is good on the lead, but we feel he would be best suited to a home where he isn’t the only dog.
Kennel 3A is sponsored by Holly as a thank you to Patrick and Margaret Martin for looking after her.
This kennel is also sponsored by Eve Hearn in memory of her late husband Malcolm, who was a greyhound lover.
Kennel 3B is currently occupied by Jamie.
She is a black female born on 22 August 2016 who came to us on 18 May 2019.
Jamie is another newcomer to our ranks, but has settled in really well.
Kennel 3B is sponsored by Wendy Green in memory of her husband Brian, who passed away in November 2013, and his beloved Mollie.
Gainsborough kennel 4A is currently occupied by Sunny.
Sunny is a blue male born on 3 March 2013 who came to us on 21 May 2019.
Gainsborough kennel 4B is currently occupied by Mary.
She is a black female born on 20 April 2016 who came to us on 31 May 2019
Kennel 4B is kindly sponsored by the Swift and Woollin families in memory of Millie.
This kennel is also kindly sponsored by Jackie Shephard in memory of Tigger.
Gainsborough kennel 5A is currently occupied by Johnny Cash.
Johnny Cash is a black male born on 11 October 2014 who came to us on 18 May 2019.
This lad’s racing name was Adognamed Sue and his kennel name was Johnny. As we already have a Johnny this man was given the full title of Johnny Cash.
He is another newcomer who has created a very favourable impression in his short spell with us.
Kennel 5A is sponsored by Anne, Kevan and Emma Roe in memory of Bob.
Gainsborough kennel 5B is currently occupied by Brandy.
She is a black and white female born on 27 October 2016 who came to us on 5 February 2019
This young girl needs a home where someone is with her most of the time.
Brandy is a young ,sweet girl, but she does have a delicate tummy and would need an owner that is prepared to feed her a good quality diet.
She was rehomed on 26 May.
